Trip Itinerary

GUIDED BUS TRIP TO ONE OF DUBLIN’S FINEST AND MOST NOTABLY HAUNTED CASTLES – MALAHIDE CASTLE

  • Come aboard our private Castle Express Coach to hear some of the legends that abound along our route through Dublin’s Northside. You will pass the birthplace of Bram Stoker and learn where his inspiration came from to write his masterpiece, Dracula. You will also hear some of the history about the lovely and picturesque Malahide Castle.
  • Arrive at Malahide Castle – we disembark the bus and are guided through one of Ireland’s loveliest Norman castles dating back as far as 1185. The castle originally belonged to the Talbots, who remained in residence here until 1975, making it the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland! Don’t be alarmed if you feel eyes watching you or you hear the tinkle of laughter from a child long dead. Malahide Castle is known for its ghosts!
  • Your guide will recount the history of this place, including the confiscation of the castle from the Talbot family by Oliver Cromwell in 1649.
  • The historical excursion of Malahide Castle will last approximately 2.5 hours (inclusive of travel time to and from Malahide Castle)
  • You will finish back at The Brazen Head, where you can avail of our special drinks promotions, enjoy their wonderful food, and dance the night away to live music!
